Mildred E. "Mickey" Hemschemeyer, 87, formerly of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2013, at Countryside Manor in the Town of Sheboygan. Mickey was born on February 10, 1925, in the Town of Holland, daughter of Herman and Elnora (Capelle) Hausler. On September 13, 1947, she married Harold E. Hemschemeyer at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. Harold preceded her in death on October 11, 2002. Mickey was employed as an inspector with Bemis Manufacturing for over 25 years until her retirement in 1988. Mickey was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls, where she taught Sunday school for more than 25 years and was active in the Women's Guild. She also volunteered her time for the Trash ‘n Treasure and Cookie Walk events. Mickey was a past officer and secretary of the Sheboygan Falls Optimist Club and volunteered at the Sheboygan Falls food pantry. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, ceramics, reading, traveling, and playing cards. Mickey is survived by her two daughters, Karen (Ronald) Rohde of Bernville, PA and Lori (Dr. James) Spina of Edgewater, MD; two grandchildren, Jacquelyn Bolen and Nicole (Robert) Lewis; three step-grandchildren, Holly Spina, Phillip Spina, and Le Ann (Erik) Hinckley; six great-grandchildren, Margaret, Blake, and Hayden Lewis and Conner, Hunter, and Brianna Bolen; one sister-in-law, Betty (Joseph) Bessette of Sheboygan. Mickey was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 54 years, Harold; a twin sister, Marion (Eugene "Butch") Diels, a sister, Bernice (Raymond) Schaefer; and four brothers, Earl (Esther), Roland (Ruth), Gordon, and Howard (Ethel) Hausler. Funeral services to celebrate Mickey's life will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, February 1, 2013, at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Mark Janzen officiating. Burial will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Park in the Town of Sheboygan. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 am until the time of the service at 11:30 am. A memorial fund has been established in Mickey's name for the Sheboygan Falls food pantry.
