Marjorie Rausch

Marjorie "Margie" A. Rausch, 68, of Sheboygan, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family. Margie was born August 18, 1941 in Manitowoc to Frederick and Helen (Schnuelle) Hagenow. She graduated from Kiel High School in 1959. On November 3, 1962 she married Eugene C. Rausch at St. Peter's UCC in Kiel. Over the years she worked for Hansen Glove, Heisdorf Insurance, and Sertich Ambulance. Margie was a member of Grace UCC in Kohler where she was involved in the choir and served as a volunteer. She enjoyed her grandchildren and spending time with her friends, especially her sister and the Reese girls on their many adventures together. She also enjoyed bird watching, reading, gardening, traveling, and playing cards. Margie had recently been honored by Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals for surviving diabetes for 57 years, an honor bestowed upon by only 1800 people in the U.S. Margie is survived by her: husband, Eugene; one daughter, Lynn (Andy) Weiss of Green Bay; one son, Kenneth (special friend Kathy and her daughter Jenna) Rausch of Gladstone, MI; four grandchildren, Keiryn and Chandler Weiss, Jamie and Kenny Rausch; one sister, Marilyn (Paul) Stier of West Bend; one nephew, Scott (Judy) Stier; two nieces, Gina (Jason) Bierman and Holly (Andrew) Sherman; great- nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Margie was preceded in death by her: parents; infant son; infant brother; father and mother-in-law Conrad and Violet Rausch; sister-in-law Helen Rausch. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Grace UCC in Kohler with Rev. Tom Schroeder officiating. Inurnment will be in Woodland Cemetery in Kohler. Relatives and friends may call from 10:00 am until the time of the service Wednesday at the church. A memorial fund is being established in Margie's name for Grace UCC and the Sheboygan County Cancer Care Fund. Margie's family would like to give thanks to Dr. Mark Bettag and his staff nurses for their care and compassion. They would also like to give special thanks to her wonderful friends and neighbors on 40th St. for their time, support, and friendship over the years.
