Marie Sullivan

Marie E. Sullivan, 96, of Sheboygan died on Sunday morning, August 19, 2012, at Pine Haven Christian Home where she had resided for the past year. Marie was born on May 7, 1916 in Hybridge, WI, the daughter of Victor and Albina (Brunell) Sarazin. She was a 1933 graduate of Mellen High School. On February 3, 1940, she married William J. Sullivan at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. William preceded her in death on October 3, 1966. Marie was a beautician for over 50 years prior to her retirement in 1992. She owned and operated the Parkview Beauty Salon in Sheboygan for many years. Marie was a member of St. Dominic Parish in Sheboygan. She was also a St. Nicholas Hospital volunteer where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. Marie enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking, gardening, golf, and attending exercise classes. Marie is survived by two daughters, Kathleen (Kenny) Knippel of Nashville, TN and Eileen (Joe) Francis of Sheboygan Falls; five grandchildren, Lisa (Don) Laessig, Kelly (Steve) Mirenda, Gina (Eugene) Crumpton, Dan VanSluys, and Sandra (Todd) Sieloff; five great grandchildren, Joshua Mirenda, Danny and Michael Waara, Andrea and Ashley Sieloff; one sister-in-law, Marie Sarazin of Mauston; one brother-in-law, Bernie Smith of Madison; and three dear friends and neighbors, Delores Trester, Adeline Bratz, and Mary Byrum. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, William; a son, Patrick J. Sullivan; a son-in-law, Jerry VanSluys; seven brothers and six sisters. Private family funeral services will be held at St. Dominic Parish.
